Week of November 30th

This week we are focusing on the short e sound, initial r and l blends (frog/flag) and drawing conclusions when reading.

Please keep working on flashcards at home! We will continue with timed tests (100 problems in 5 minutes) in the classroom to improve proficiency with basic facts.

Wednesday, Nov. 25- First and second grade feast and noon dismissal. No need to pack a lunch today :)

Thursday, Nov. 26- Thanksgiving! Read a turkey day book!

Friday, Nov. 27- No School! Don’t forget to read!

* Please make sure you are at school, outside the classroom, ready and waiting for your conference time. We are allotted only 15 minutes and in consideration of others I will be beginning promptly at our scheduled meeting time and will not be extending meeting times. Thank you in advance!

* Also, please note that the first and second grade feast will take place on Wednesday, November 25- check the fish folder for details or stop by class and sign up to bring something!
